City Arts Fest is coming up in less than a month, and we’ll be writing a lot more about it in the coming days and weeks, but we were offered some tickets to a handful of shows to give to our readers, at least one each night (and all of the shows we have tickets to are on Capitol Hill).
To enter, send an e-mail to email@example.com by 9am on Tuesday, October 4 with “CAF1,” “CAF2,” “CAF3″ or “CAF4″ in the subject line. Feel free to enter for each show, but indicate which shows you want to see in the subject line. A winner for each will be selected at random and shortly after that. All shows are 21+ (sorry kids) and you can see the full schedule online here. The shows are:
- Thursday, October 20 — POGO w/ That 1 Guy, Daydream Vacation, Viper Creek Club
- Friday, October 21 — Blue Sky Black Death + USF w/ Big Spider’s Back and Brain Fruit
- Friday, October 21 — Fences w/ William Elliot Whitmore, Black Whales, Daniel G Harmon & The Trouble Starts
- Saturday, October 22 — Male Bonding w/ Unnatural Helpers, The Fucking Eagles, Virgin Islands
Tickets are on sale for each show (and you can find more information online at City Arts Fest’s website). I was asked to include this note regarding wristbands: “All access festival wristbands — and staggered performance schedules — allow festival attendees to see multiple bands and headliners in the same night. Wristbands get you into all shows. We stop a LITTLE short of ‘guarantee’ because there are tiny venues like Rendezvous and the Comet can’t quite fit y’all. But we’ve held many more seats back at every venue this year and only sell a limited number of wristbands to make sure all of our wristband buyers get in.”
