The Seattle-based folk rock band The Local Strangers released a new, two song EP on their website and Bandcamp pages today that you can download free. It’s called Devils & Ghosts, which makes perfect sense as the two songs offered are called “Devil and a Stiff Drink” and “Give Up the Ghost.” It’s certainly worth your time and bandwidth, especially for “Devil and a Stiff Drink,” a great rock song anchored by Aubrey Zoli’s harmonies, which start off sultry until the song descends into something a bit more chaotic.
The Local Strangers are also headlining the first show of a series of early evening, all ages shows at the Q Cafeon Saturday night. It’ll cost $8, go from 5pm to 8pm.
