This showed up in my Facebook feed this morning and might be of interest to some readers. We had posted earlier about the song “Same Love,” which makes a power statement about marriage equality (and we’ve also shown exclusive photos from Macklemore’s “Irish Celebration” video). According to this ad on Craig’s List that was posted last night, Team Macklemore is looking for some people to be in the video to “Same Love.” It says in full:
The Macklemore production team is seeking a team of actors for the “Same Love” music video to be shot between August 21 — 30th 2012 in Seattle, WA. Exact dates TBD.
We are looking for the following:
- Male actors aged 9-11
- Male actors aged 15-21
- Male actors aged 24-34
- Male actors aged 70+
- 2 females who are willing to have their births filmed
For the male actors, please email your resume, an up-close photo of yourself, and a full body photo at minimum.
For the females please email me and we can set up a time to meet and discuss your questions, concerns, and timing.
This will be the music video for the song “Same Love” and all actors must be 100% aligned with the Gay Rights Movement.

It looks like there is a specific look or type of actors for the video, so it’s not an open call for people to be in the video, but you can still order “Same Love” on iTunes or buy the 7″ single from Sub Pop (I just got my copy in the mail a few days ago). The money raised will benefit Music for Marriage Equality.
