Popular – but polarizing – it-girl of the moment, Lana Del Rey was the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend. She performed her singles “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans” and the reaction was not kind from online. It wasn’t a particularly good performance by any objective measure (and it was nice to see someone paying attention to Juliette Lewis’ opinions in 2012).
But, as one of my favorite music writers put it (in an unrelated context), “The comment sections of music blogs are like Store 24 parking lots: places where idiots hang out.” So, I thought it would be fun(ny) to look at what people who commented about this on Stereogum had to say. Here are their ten worst comments:
